Duties:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for children in the daycare
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Supervise and interact with children during playtime, mealtime, and naptime
- Foster positive relationships with parents and provide regular updates on their child's progress
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Observe and assess children's development and address any concerns or issues
- Collaborate with other daycare staff to ensure the smooth operation of the facility
Skills:
- Classroom management: Ability to maintain discipline and create a structured learning environment
- Education: Knowledge of early childhood education principles and techniques
- Toddler care: Experience in caring for toddlers, including diaper changing, feeding, and soothing techniques
- Early childhood education: Familiarity with age-appropriate curriculum and teaching methods for young children
- Experience with children: Previous experience working with children in a daycare, school, or similar setting
- Behavior management: Ability to handle challenging behaviors and redirect negative behavior into positive actions
- Daycare knowledge: Understanding of licensing regulations, health and safety guidelines, and best practices in daycare settings
- Childhood development: Knowledge of child development milestones and ability to support each child's individual growth
- Previous experience as a nanny or caregiver for young children
- Childcare skills: Ability to provide basic care for children, including feeding, dressing, and comforting
