*Title: GIS Engineer *
*Location: Brooklyn, NY ( Day One Onsite)*
*Duration: Long Term*
Manage and oversee the execution and delivery of geospatial data, services and applications to City agencies and the public.
• Develop, review, and finalize project solicitations and work plans.
• Development of a sustainable workflow for authoring and updating map tiles.
• Work closely with the GIS Database Administrator to establish group geospatial data catalog.
Establish project objectives and acceptance criteria.
• Review and verification of project deliverables.
• Perform the application of Geospatial principles (scale, projections, coordinate systems, topology, spatial analysis, etc.
).
• Utilize cartography and data visualization techniques and practices.
• Perform geospatial data gathering using ESRI ArcGIS and web mapping technologies.
MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered Skills Mandatory or Desired ?Experience in Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and call handling systems integration is a plus.
DesiredKnowledge of SDI concepts and experience in the implementation of spatial data infrastructure.
MandatoryExperience in large scale GIS integration is a plus.
DesiredExperience in methods and best practices in GIS systems development and integration.
MandatorySkills in cartography and data visualization to effectively communicate spatial information.

- Monitor and troubleshoot BI solutions to ensure their availability, reliability, and performance.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in business intelligence technologies.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Developer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of SQL for querying relational databases.
- Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica for data integration.
- Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop for processing large datasets.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python for data manipulation and analysis.
- Ability to analyze complex datasets and derive meaningful insights.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
- Experience with shell scripting is a plus.
