Summary: Exemplify standards of hospitality and service to all internal and external customers.
Greet and direct visitors, patients, and their families to their destinations.
Be a resource for information and guidance.
Always provide exceptional customer service with every interaction.
Monitor front door entrance to assist with safety and security.
Ensure visitors sign in/out of visiting log.
Responsibilities: Greet guests entering lobby with a sincere greeting, exhibiting proper guest relations skills, and a positive approachable attitude with every interaction.
Assist guests in looking up information in accordance with policies and procedures, i.
e.
HIPPA, security, etc.
Proactively assist guests in obtaining a wheelchair, provide general assistance or accompany guests to their destinations, as appropriate.
Answer facility main phone line and appropriately transferring calls, Take initiative to maintain a safe and attractive environment within the facility and immediate property.
Notify security of any suspicious person or behavior, accident or circumstance that may cause damage or injury.
Provide direction or assistance to those in the lobby to ensure their safety and the safety of others.
Work closely with staff to comfort families in an effort to stabilize highly emotional situations.
Handle complaints in real time within the department.
Channel complaints or problems to appropriate staff; assist in resolving conflicts, be an intermediary between patients, families, and staff.
Provide concierge services to patients and visitors, as appropriate.
Offer assistance with guest complaints/concerns by maintaining knowledge of resources and service recovery procedures.
Maintain knowledge of all system-wide services to assist guests in any way possible.
Provide information regarding local accommodations, travel, restaurants, directions, etc.
Display a caring and courteous attitude and represent Nuvance Health in a positive manner.
Promote and contribute positively to intra-departmental and inter-departmental relationships.
Maintain confidentiality of employees and departmental information with no infractions.
Promote a safe and efficient working environment by adhering to hospital and department policies and procedures.
Adhere to Infection Control and Quality Assurance Policies and Procedures at all times.
Maintain appearance of work area according to department standards at all times.
Adhere to all safety regulations reporting any variances to supervisor immediately.
Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent 1 yr.

Work Shift: Variable 4-8 hr.
