We are an AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) accredited 3 doctor, small animal and exotic animal practice in the beautiful Hudson Valley of NY that is dedicated to excellent patient care, outstanding customer service and client education.
We are currently seeking team oriented, highly motivated and compassionate applicants for the position of Experienced Veterinary Receptionist/Customer Service Representative.
(Full / Part Time):
Responsibilities include excellent customer service skills for greeting clients and pets in a professional, pleasant and courteous manner; answering a multi-line telephone; basic computer skills for preparing and organizing patient records and scheduling appointments; some filing, faxing, mailing to clients; preparing patient consent forms; providing client education materials; preparing invoices; collecting payments and making sure clients receive any medications or products that they need.
Prior knowledge of veterinary practice is a must, since it will be required to answer client questions, to provide client education and to perform other related duties as directed by the veterinarian.
Respect and courtesy toward clients and co-workers is essential.
Applicants must be dependable, compassionate and able to multi-task.
Applicants will need the ability to respond calmly and quickly in a medical emergency.
Applicants must be willing to learn new things.
All pets must be treated with kindness and respect at all times.
We have a very interesting menagerie of patients as we see all dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, amphibians and small mammals of all kinds, and you can learn a lot with us.
Experience with exotic animals is desired, but not required as we are happy to train you.
Applicants must have a genuine appreciation for creatures of all shapes and sizes.
