We are currently hiring Lead Teachers for our Early Learning Center located in Monticello, NY.
HOURS: up to 29.
5 hours/week 6:30a–6:30p PAY: $16 per hour JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt JOB CONSISTS OF: Developing weekly plans, and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans using the Creative Curriculum to nurture and stimulate all domains of children’s development in their care.
Create positive adult/child interactions using the CLASS method.
Assures the education, health, welfare, and safety of the children enrolled in their classroom and the center as a whole using ECERS/ITERS.
Maintain ongoing, open communication with parents/ caregivers via Brightwheel App, email, and in-person meetings.
Perform ongoing developmental evaluations of children and plan periodical parent conferences to discuss children's developmental progress, needs, and interests.
Assist families with children's transitions from toddler to preschool and from preschool to kindergarten.
Maintain accurate, complete, and timely family and agency records; including daily meal and attendance records.
Ensures that the Childcare Assistant is kept updated in all matters concerning the classroom and program, i.

meetings, lesson plans, policies & procedures, and training received.
Provides functional training and guidance to staff, interns, substitutes, and volunteers assigned to the classroom.
Participate in ongoing in-service and educational development opportunities provided by Healthy Kids.
Requirements: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Associate's degree in Child Development, Child Development Certificate, Bachelor's Degree and or equivalent degree OR Infant and Toddler Child Care and Education Credential or another Office-recognized credential specific to infant/toddler developmental period (with 2 yrs of experience ) OR Child Development Credential (with 2 yrs experience) OR 9 Credits in Early Childhood or a related field with a plan of study leading to an Associate or other Office recognized credential (with 2 years of experience) QUALIFICATIONS: Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting, references, SEL & SCR through NYS Office of Children and Family Services.
Must be medically fit to perform all job duties, free of communicable disease including TB, and provide documentation from a licensed physician within the past year.
Warm, friendly, caring, upbeat personality.
Exceptional people skills in dealing with young children, parents, and staff.
Professional, reliable, and prompt.
Must have the stamina and physical flexibility (walking, sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, pulling, running, reaching, climbing, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs.
