Job Summary: The Director of Food & Beverage (F&B) will lead the Mountain Dining Division for Hunter – encompassing 13 outlets on and off the mountain, spanning quick-service, full-service, and banquet style offerings.
This position requires a broad-based business leader with responsibility for revenue, profit, safety/compliance, Elevated guest service, and aiding our strategic Commitment to Zero sustainability programs.
This leader is a vital member of Hunter’s Resort Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to the GM/VP.
As a leader in Vail Resorts, the Director will also be a key member of cross-functional teams and initiatives in partnership with corporate functions including a centralized Food and Beverage Support Team, Procurement, and Health & Safety.
The ideal candidate will have a senior level of experience demonstrating revenue and profit business acumen, operations management, and a passion for team leadership across multiple food and beverage units, as well as a strong ability to develop relationships with key business partners and other functional groups.
We also desire candidates that have strong ability to execute with agility and are able to bring the resort brand vision to life through local experiences and unparalleled guest experience hospitality.

Job Responsibilities: Responsible for overall planning and operation management of Hunter’s Mountain Dining division and maintaining a high standard of quality and service to maximize the guest experience and support the resort brand.
Responsible for recruiting, developing, and leading high-performance teams in a hospitality setting, contributing to Vail Resorts focus on overall talent development and employee engagement.
Partner with HR and Finance on recruiting and hiring/workforce planning to reach desired staffing levels and talent development in order to achieve revenue and service goals, and employee development.
Builds and develops a management and operations teams that are aligned with resort goals, and company culture.
Identify trends with guest feedback and continuously improve the resort’s Net Promotor Score and other guest satisfaction indicators.
Manage the revenue and profit goals of all the resort’s on-mountain dining establishments from quick service to full-service restaurants, outdoor grills, bars and beverage programs.
Responsible for financial results in all dining outlets, maximizing revenue, managing cost of sales, full-time and part-time labor, and expenses to achieve overall contribution margin goals.
Work as a member of the resort's Senior Leadership Team to drive a high-quality resort experience, continuous improvement, and best practices collaborating with resort departments and across the company.
Monitor and continuously improve compliance, standard operating procedures, health & safety, waste management, inventory and related operations in our on-mountain restaurant group.
Ensures that operations are enforcing all sanitation, health regulations and safety practices, complying with labor laws, complying with state liquor laws, adhering to company policies, procedures, and submitting monthly inventory and compliance reports.
Ensures the Mountain Dining department is leading the charge in regard to diverting waste to landfill and environmental initiatives.
Provide strategic inputs for development of menus, portion, ingredients, and related culinary functions; help develop pricing in partnership with other departments.
Responsible for day-to-day maintenance and operations of all Mountain Dining facilities to meet standards for safety, cleanliness and overall appearance of our on-mountain Help craft longer term business strategies and prioritize capital improvement projects in partnership with cross-functional department leaders.

Job Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience Extensive management experience in complex mountain resort, hospitality, F&B, hotel management, or related service environments.
