I’m selling my 1965-66 vintage Gretsch kit in Tangerine sparkle.
The sizes are 14x18 bass
14x20 bass
8x12 tom
9x13 Tom
14x14 Tom
Matching 5x14 wood snare
These drums are great,no extra holes, no missing parts.
I’m not breaking up this kit.
The 20” bass has the rail mount and cymbal mount whereas the 14x18 bass drum has Gretsch’s first version of their double tom mount which came out in 1965-66.
You can see this tom mount in Rob Cook and John Sheridan’s Gretsch drum book on page 235.
It’s the model 4936.
Heads on the drums fit a bit tight so I use Aquarian American Vintage batter heads on the toms.
All toms and snare have their die cast hoops and internal mufflers.
Bass drums have their internal mufflers .
all drums have their original round badges.
The finish is in good shape without any fading.
Original logo heads on the 18”.
I had original gotten the 18” separately and then was able to find a 20,12,14, Progressive jazz kit plus the snare and extra 13” tom.
Bass drum hoops are original and have paint chips which I have left alone.
Both bass drums also have their straight spurs.
All drums have their grey interiors along with their paper tags.
No paper tag on the 20” All the lug screws on the 20” bass drum have rust on them.
Inlays are also original, there is a five inch section of replaced tangerine sparkle inlay on the 20” bass drum which I got from Precision drum company.
$13,700.
for all.
No trades and no selling any separate drums.
Come down and play them and check them out.
Cash or PayPal ONLY.
