Produce Manager

Responsibilities: - Oversee the daily operations of the produce department, including ordering, stocking, and maintaining inventory levels - Ensure that all produce is fresh, properly displayed, and priced accurately - Train and supervise produce department staff members - Monitor sales and implement strategies to increase revenue and meet sales goals - Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their produce needs and inquiries - Handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately - Maintain a clean and organized produce department, including proper rotation of products and adherence to food safety guidelines - Collaborate with other departments to coordinate promotions and special events - Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, and inventory management Requirements: - Previous experience in a retail environment, preferably in produce or grocery store management - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members - Ability to manage shifts and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment - Proficient in cash handling procedures and basic math skills - Knowledge of market trends and produce quality standards - Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills - Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
