Poured Candle Bar is New York’s first candle bar in the heart of Hudson, NY! We are looking for a Retail Store Manager to join our team that shares our passion for delivering a polished white-glove customer experience.
Never made candles before? No worries! We provide on the job training!
This key member of our team will be responsible for assisting owners for daily operations; managing the team, stepping in to assist with operations administration when needed, guiding and motivating team to upsell, and helping customers throughout the fragrance making experience as they make their own custom fragrance (candles, reed diffusers, perfumes).
As we’re a hybrid retail/wine bar, we’re looking for a Jack/Jill of All Trades to join us!
This position will encompass all aspects of our business from fragrance making, to bartending/serving, helping with retail, and assisting with team management.
Additional duties will include helping with bussing/turning over stations, restocking supplies in our store, and overall support throughout our shop when needed.
We’re a family-run, LGBTQIA+ owned small business, and we’re extremely passionate about the level of service we’re bringing to the Hudson Valley.
It’s All Hands On Deck when we’re in service, and no job is too big or too small to get things done.
If you have 5+ years of retail/serving management experience in a boutique or higher end establishment (clothing/retail/restaurant) with deep understanding of what a discerning customer might need, we can train you to become an excellent Chandler (candle maker).

Pay: DOE $50,000-55,000 / year + annual discretionary performance based bonus
