Penn Machinery HIRING IMMEDIATELY Parts Counter Advisor Poughkeepsie, NY Pay: $24-$32/hour (dependent relevant experience) Bonus: 5% bonus potential Benefits: Medical/dental/vision insurance 401(k) with company match Company cellphone Company laptop Key Qualifications: 1-year+ parts counter experience or related mechanical/technical experience required Ability to multitask & be highly organized with the ability to be competent in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal skills Proficient in computer applications and software Strong communication skills, both written and oral Responsibilities Successfully provide solutions to customers’ parts needs.
Research and provide customers with correct part information by utilizing all available resources including inspecting worn, damaged, or defective parts to determine customer needs Sell parts to all fax-in, email-in, call-in and walk-in customers Advise customer of additional related parts and services available Maintain communication with customers on open orders Follow all established procedures to ensure accurate payment Participate and complete training as required and/or available Ensure customer satisfaction.
Communicate effectively to build strong, long-term, trusting relationships with customers Discuss features and benefits of alternative solutions and offer those solutions to the customer (i.
e.
, remanufacturing, repair options, etc.
) Represent the company in a positive, courteous, and professional manner at all times Solicit incremental business.
Communicate information including leads to PSSRs, ISRs, Sales Reps and Service Department Promote a one-stop-shop to customers Be aware of and promote all current offerings to customers Qualifications 1-year+ parts counter experience or related mechanical/technical experience required Ability to multitask & be highly organized with the ability to be competent in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal skills Proficient in computer applications and software Strong communication skills, both written and oral Physical Requirements: Standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time Hand coordination (typing and writing) Occasional forward bending and reaching Occasional walking and climbing stairs Carrying (up to 20lbs.
