The Assistant Director of Annual Giving, Student Engagement is responsible for leading annual giving student and campus engagement including the phonathon program, senior legacy giving, student philanthropy engagement club, and promoting the culture of giving throughout campus.
A key member of the annual giving team, this position will coordinate all aspects of these efforts in support of the College's fundraising and outreach goals.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree 0-3 years of experience Essential Functions: Conduct the daily management of the Student Phonathon Program, including the recruitment, training, and supervision of 30+ student employees; maintain up to date knowledge and implementation skills for the calling software; write and update calling and texting scripts and related materials throughout each semester to meet the needs and goals of the annual giving program.
Monitor the quality of each caller contacts with prospects and make the necessary adjustments as needed, develop and implement effective motivational techniques.
In an effort to build a pipeline of future donors, develop and lead a comprehensive engagement effort that fosters a culture of philanthropy among Marist students and the overall campus working with departments across the College to educate student leaders on the impact of donor support and fundraising at Marist.
Coordinate all efforts of student volunteer management including student philanthropy, the senior class giving program, and other activities that support and encourage student philanthropic engagement with the College.
Generate, maintain, and analyze daily and weekly Phonathon reports on calling shifts and statistical data to inform decisions related to the calling and texting program, including efforts to close unfulfilled pledges, upgrade previous donors, and secure credit card gifts.
Assist with segmentation for the program.
Advise our student alumni ambassador club that educates members on the value of the alumni network, the importance of donor support, and provides them with the opportunity to represent the student body at Advancement events, while providing alumni the chance to interact with current students.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, 1-3 years of related experience.
Position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to manage multiple priorities; and strong analytical, problem solving, and creative skills.
Previous experience in fundraising.
